Pick the wrong one and you spend it looking for parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We live and work in Puerto Ban\u00fas, and this is the guide we give our own guests: the beaches worth your time from west to east, who each suits, the beach clubs that are actually open this season, and the practical details (lifeguards, flags, water temperature, accessibility) that other guides skip. In 2026 Marbella holds it on eight beaches and two marinas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guadalmina (San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara)<\/li>\n<li>Nag\u00fceles \u2013 Casablanca<\/li>\n<li>La Fontanilla<\/li>\n<li>El Faro<\/li>\n<li>Venus \u2013 Bajadilla<\/li>\n<li>El Cable<\/li>\n<li>Los Monteros (Las Adelfas)<\/li>\n<li>Cabopino<\/li>\n<li>Marinas: Puerto Ban\u00fas and Puerto Deportivo de Marbella<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One change worth knowing: <strong>Puerto Ban\u00fas beach did not renew its Blue Flag in 2026<\/strong>, although the marina kept its own. It is quiet and spacious, good for long walks, with a couple of beach clubs and water sports. Come here when the beaches near the port are full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">San Pedro de Alc\u00e1ntara and Linda Vista<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">San Pedro&rsquo;s beaches sit in front of a long tiled promenade with chiringuitos, restaurants and a playground. Linda Vista is popular with local families. Semi-urban and busy, with sunbeds, showers, lifeguards, beach bars, and boat and jet-ski hire. The water behind the breakwater is usually calm and shallow. It is the most convenient beach if you are staying in the port, and the place to see and be seen, but not the place for a quiet day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Playa Roc\u00edo and R\u00edo Verde<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">East of the port, where the R\u00edo Verde meets the sea. The beach is lively, with beach clubs, paddle boards and jet skis, and the sand is darker gravel. Expect higher prices and a well-dressed crowd, and very good lunches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Casablanca<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Around two kilometres of golden sand running east from Nag\u00fceles, with several beach restaurants that rent sunbeds. It shares Nag\u00fceles&rsquo; Blue Flag and is roomier, which makes it one of the best all-round family beaches in Marbella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marbella centre<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The town beaches are linked by the <a href=\"\/marbella-seafront-promenade\/\">seafront promenade<\/a> and are a ten-minute walk from the <a href=\"\/the-old-town-of-marbella\/\">Old Town<\/a>, which makes them the easiest beaches in Marbella without a car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>La Fontanilla<\/strong> (Blue Flag): about a kilometre, calm water and around ten chiringuitos. Busy in summer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>El Faro<\/strong> (Blue Flag): a small beach by the lighthouse with a playground. A designated smoke-free beach.<\/li>\n<li><strong>La Venus \u2013 La Bajadilla<\/strong> (Blue Flag): the most central and busiest, next to the marina, with a playground and an assisted-bathing point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">East Marbella<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El Cable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just east of the centre, around 1.3 km of fine golden sand with a Blue Flag, fewer visitors than the town beaches and an assisted-bathing point. The Playa Padre beach club is here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Los Monteros and Alicate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two kilometres of fine sand with pine trees behind it. It feels natural and unhurried, gets the morning sun and holds a Blue Flag at the Las Adelfas section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elviria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wide beach backed by dunes and pines, popular with families who stay in East Marbella. Nikki Beach is nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cabopino and the Dunas de Artola<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For many locals, the most beautiful beach in Marbella: fine sand blown from the Dunas de Artola, a protected natural monument since 2001 that you cross on a wooden boardwalk, with the old Torre Ladrones watchtower and the small Cabopino marina for lunch. These were operating in the 2026 season:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ocean Club<\/strong> (Puerto Ban\u00fas): the big party pool club by the port. Season runs May to early October.<\/li>\n<li><strong>La Sala by the Sea<\/strong> (Puerto Ban\u00fas): relaxed by day, with sunbeds, cabanas and poolside beds, and a lively afternoon scene.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puente Romano<\/strong> (Golden Mile): Chambao and the hotel&rsquo;s beach restaurant on Nag\u00fceles beach.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trocadero Arena<\/strong> (R\u00edo Real, East Marbella): a long-standing favourite, open year-round.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Playa Padre<\/strong> (El Cable): food, music and DJ afternoons.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nikki Beach<\/strong> (Elviria): the original party beach club. Season closes mid-October.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What it costs:<\/strong> a sunbed at a normal chiringuito is typically around \u20ac10\u201317 a day. Beach clubs start at around \u20ac15\u201325 on weekdays, while front-row beds and cabanas at the best-known clubs can run into the hundreds in August. Book ahead for weekends in July and August. And remember that every beach in Spain is public: you can always lay your own towel down in front of any club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lifeguards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026 Marbella&rsquo;s lifeguard service runs at Easter, then at weekends and on holidays until 1 June, and <strong>every day from 1 June to 30 September<\/strong>, from 11:00 to 20:00 in high season. Outside those dates, beaches are unsupervised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flags<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Green means safe to swim, yellow means swim with caution and red means no swimming. La Bajadilla and El Cable are two of them. The service is free and is booked by phone through the town hall&rsquo;s assisted-bathing line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July and August, arrive before 11:00 or plan to walk, take the bus or use a taxi.
